NFL Recent Player News
|11/19/2017||Paxton Lynch, Den, QB|
|Lynch is active for the first time this season as the Broncos face the Bengals. He'll back up starter Brock Osweiler.
Analysis: General manager John Elway moved up in the 2016 draft to select Lynch, who was beaten out by Siemian two summers in a row. Siemian lost his starting job to Osweiler after committing too many turnovers.
|11/19/2017||John Ross, Cin, WR|
|Ross is a healthy scratch for the Bengals' game at Denver.
Analysis: The first-round pick is verging toward bust territory. He's been injured at times, but he still doesn't have an NFL catch in three games.
|11/19/2017||Clay Matthews, GB, LB|
|Matthews has been ruled out for the rest of their game against Baltimore after hurting his groin midway through the first quarter at Lambeau Field.
Analysis: Matthews came back for one play on the ensuing series but watched the rest of the first half. It wasn't a pretty one for either offense. The Ravens led 6-0 at the break on Justin Tucker's two field goals. The Packers have three turnovers, including two picks thrown by Brett Hundley.
|11/19/2017||Jay Cutler, Mia, QB|
|Cutler is being evaluated for a possible concussion after taking an elbow to the head while going to the ground in the Dolphins' game against the Bucs.
Analysis: Cutler threw three first-half interceptions and has looked generally incompetent all day.
|11/19/2017||Everson Griffen, Min, DE|
|Griffen will return Sunday against the Rams after a one-game absence due to a back injury.
Analysis: This is a huge addition as the Vikings try to slow down the Rams' explosive offense.
|11/19/2017||Dee Ford, KC, LB|
|Ford won't play again Sunday due to a back injury.
Analysis: That hurts Kansas City's overall defensive value a bit, but they still shouldn't have much trouble getting to Eli Manning and forcing turnovers.
|11/19/2017||Eli Apple, NYG, CB|
|Apple is a healthy scratch against the Chiefs.
Analysis: Apple's mother underwent brain surgery this week, so this is almost certainly related to that.
|11/19/2017||Niles Paul, Was, TE|
|Paul will play in Week 11 against the Saints after being cleared from concussion protocol.
Analysis: With Terrelle Pryor and Jordan Reed out, Paul could definitely see more targets.
|11/19/2017||Albert Wilson, KC, WR|
|Wilson won't play against the Giants because of a hamstring injury.
Analysis: Wilson hasn't played since Week 8 and hasn't done much this season, but he has shown an ability to stretch the field for Alex Smith.
|11/19/2017||Jordan Reed, Was, TE|
|Reed is inactive against the Saints due to a hamstring injury.
Analysis: This is the third straight game he'll miss after getting hurt against Dallas in Week 8, and takes another red zone target away from Kirk Cousins.
|11/19/2017||Terrelle Pryor Sr., Was, WR|
|Pryor is inactive against the Saints due to an ankle injury.
Analysis: Perhaps the most disappointing player in football only has two catches in the last three games and just 20 on the season.
|11/19/2017||Kenny Vaccaro, NO, S|
|Vaccaro is inactive against the Redskins due to a groin injury.
Analysis: This could be a big blow to a defense that hasn't allowed more than 17 points in the last four games.
|11/19/2017||Kenny Stills, Mia, WR|
|Stills is active against the Bucs despite injuring his back on Thursday.
Analysis: Stills hasn't scored a touchdown in the last three weeks but is still a threat to find the end zone with Jay Cutler throwing him the ball.
|11/19/2017||Sterling Shepard, NYG, WR|
|Shepard is dealing with a migraine and is inactive against the Chiefs.
Analysis: There goes one of Eli Manning's only reliable targets, though Manning shouldn't be in your one-QB lineup anyway.
|11/19/2017||Will Fuller V, Hou, WR|
|Fuller is inactive for the Texans game against the Cardinals with a rib injury.
Analysis: Seven of Fuller's 17 catches have been touchdowns, so this is a potentially huge big play and red zone threat sidelined.
|11/19/2017||Andre Ellington, Ari, RB|
|Ellington is a healthy inactive for Week 11.
Analysis: Ellington has 33 receptions but hasn't been any sort of a threat running the ball.
|11/19/2017||Drew Stanton, Ari, QB|
|Stanton is active in Week 11, but he's expected to back up Blaine Gabbert.
Analysis: It's always possible Gabbert will be bad enough that Stanton gets in, but neither should be a fantasy option.
|11/19/2017||Terrance West, Bal, RB|
|West is inactive again for the Ravens in Week 11 against the Packers.
Analysis: West went down early in Week 5 and hasn't played since because of a calf injury.
|11/19/2017||Breshad Perriman, Bal, WR|
|Perriman is inactive Sunday against the Packers.
Analysis: Perriman is reportedly being demoted after catching just seven passes for 54 yards and no touchdowns in eight games.
|11/19/2017||Leonard Fournette, Jax, RB|
|Fournette is active against the Browns on Sunday after being listed as questionable due to an ankle injury.
Analysis: Fournette was held out of practice Friday to give him extra rest and treatment after being limited Wednesday and Thursday.
