Lucas, Blackshear lead Nevada past New Mexico, 77-76

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) Jarod Lucas scored 28 points, Kenan Blackshear hit a short-range jumper that rimmed in at the buzzer and Nevada beat New Mexico 77-76 on Tuesday night.

Jamal Mashburn Jr. 's jump shot gave New Mexico a one-point lead with 18 seconds to play. Following a Nevada timeout, Blackshear took possession and dribbled the floor before hitting the game-winner from just inside the free-throw line.

Lucas was 11 of 18 shooting (6 for 9 from distance) for the Wolf Pack (19-6, 9-3 Mountain West Conference). Blackshear scored 12 points, shooting 4 of 10 from the field and 3 for 4 from the line. Will Baker recorded 10 points and went 5 of 9 from the field.
